About The Position
At Dutch Bros Coffee, the Shop Lead supports the team and upholds the Dutch vision by demonstrating the core values of Speed, Quality, and Service. The Shop Lead serves as an information resource and voice for shop employees within the management circle, supports the manager in meeting shop needs, and manages inventory. The role models and meets the expectations of Broista and Shift Lead positions, helps ensure the crew has what it needs to provide a positive customer experience, and assists the Shop Manager with developing the crew and conducting flow checks. The position requires availability for at least 37 hours per week and a flexible, changing schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends. The role may require driving and involves the physical demands and environmental exposures described in the posting.
Requirements
- Must have completed at least 10 shifts as a Dutch Bros Shift Lead.
- Must have had no disciplinary action in the past 90 days; the posting defines disciplinary action as a coaching conversation resulting in formal documentation with signatures.
- Must desire to become a Dutch Bros Operator.
- Must obtain and maintain a Food Handler Permit or Certification as required by state or local regulations.
- Must complete, pass, and maintain mandatory certificates, training, and knowledge tests under Dutch Bros standards and applicable company policies and federal, state, and local regulations.
- Must pass the standard background check and MVR check.
- Must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance if driving is necessary.
- Must be available to work a minimum of 37 hours per week.
- Must be available for a flexible, changing schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Must demonstrate the Broista and Shift Lead levels of leadership expectations, as well as the Shop Lead expectations: consistent work-life harmony and habits, attention to detail, and the ideal team-player qualities of being hungry, humble, and smart.
Responsibilities
- Model and meet all expectations of the Broista and Shift Lead roles.
- Ensure the crew and shop have what they need to provide a positive experience to every customer.
- Manage inventory and ensure the shop maintains appropriate inventory levels to serve customers.
- Assist the Shop Manager in developing the crew, including assisting with flow checks.
- Be a good teammate and role model.
- Attend mandatory meetings, know available resources, and follow company policies and procedures in the Field Guides and Employee Handbook.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Drive when necessary.
