A helper assists an instrument maker, machinist, technician, other skilled employee or staff member in the performance of general shop or laboratory work. Requirements
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Able to become familiar with shop tools and cleaning methods.
- A minimum of six months of applicable experience is required.
- Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma or equivalence preferred.
Responsibilities
- Under supervision, may be required to operate or maintain shop tools or laboratory equipment.
- Assists in cleaning equipment and performs miscellaneous work necessary to the shop.
- Help instrument makers, machinists, technicians, other skilled employees the performance of general shop work.
