About The Position

As a Shop Foreman, you’ll assist in leading a maintenance enterprise at a Fluid Solutions branch. You’ll use your technical knowledge to perform routine maintenance, trouble-shoot and repair pump equipment of varying sizes, capacity, function and manufacturer. Your primary objective is to coordinate the activities of yard and shop personnel, plus to diagnose and supervise the repair and assembly of Fluid Solutions equipment to ensure that work is performed efficiently, while maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent; Trade school training preferred
5+ years of experience with repairing and maintaining vehicles and equipment
Highly developed mechanical background knowledge particularly with various engines
Extensive knowledge of construction equipment
Advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
Own the tools applicable to position
Strong leadership, teamwork, and customer service skills
Diligent attention to safety
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Create work schedules and maintaining proper accounting of Service Technician productivity
Generate service-related revenue
Schedule and perform timely repairs for rental and customer equipment
When required, travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance of equipment
Accurately order needed parts from vendors when needed
Assist peers in developing diagnostic skills and perform all service technician functions when necessary
Other duties assigned as needed
