Requirements

Supervise the repair process in the workshop.
Ensure accurate repair order write up.
Supervise technicians.
Mentor technicians.
Lead technicians to fix cars right the first time, following approved repair procedures.
Maintain repeat repair documentation.
Responsible for the quality of repairs in the service workshop.
Maintain a high level of cleanliness, organization, and uniform appearance for the entire workshop.
Responsible for the efficiency and productivity of the technicians.
Participate in the technician hiring decisions, termination and other HR issues.
Ensure that all technicians adhere to company policies.
Determine the training needs of the technicians and inform management of these needs.
Assure that flat rate time assignments are true and accurate.
Ensure all technicians adhere to their work schedule, including days off, start time, lunch and finish time.
Inform management of any situation or condition that would jeopardize the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its associates, or its customers.
Responsible for the implementation of best practices in the workshop: Dispatch Quality Control of the work performed Management of repeat repairs Technician technical training Special tool management Quick access to technical information, tools and equipment Ensuring that the correct approved repair methods are utilized throughout the workshop.
Responsible for having the parts department order the correct parts on the vehicle that is being worked on, If it was the technicians fault that a part was ordered wrong, then the technician will be charged the price of the part up to $50.00
