Shop Foreman - Audi San Diego
About The Position
Audi San Diego has an outstanding opportunity for a Shop Foreman to join their team and the Holman Family! This role involves supervising, mentoring, and developing technicians, managing OEM certification and training, and maintaining special tools and equipment. The Shop Foreman will partner with regional TDA for onboarding and career development, serve as a liaison between various departments and clients, and ensure quality control and adherence to warranty policies. Responsibilities also include assigning jobs based on technician skillsets, managing team goals and KPIs, and providing coaching and development opportunities.
Requirements
- 5-7 years’ experience in the automotive field as a technician
- Experienced in service principles, concepts and service department operations
- Reviewing and improving processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Current ASE Certifications
- Valid Driver’s License
- Clean Driving record or minimal violations
Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor and assist with the development of technicians in the workshop
- Monitor and manage OEM certification and Holman training for each technician
- Maintain inventory and readiness of special tools and equipment
- Partner with regional TDA to assist with onboarding and career development for technicians
- Serve as a liaison between the Service Manager, Service Advisors, Dispatcher, Parts personnel, Technicians, Warranty Administration and clients
- Maintain close contact with OEM field technical service support personnel
- Ensure quality control inspections and road tests are completed as applicable post repairs
- Ensure adhesion to warranty policies and procedures
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned
- Assign jobs according to technician/team skillset and workload requirements
- Manage team goals, metrics, KPI's, work volume
- Effectively coach, give performance feedback and provide development opportunities within own area of responsibility or department
- Assist with employee evaluations and goal setting
