About The Position

This role involves operating various manual machining equipment to produce parts, often without blueprints, requiring the ability to reverse engineer components. The machinist will work with a wide range of metals and alloys, adhere to tight tolerances, and may need to travel periodically. The position also includes making necessary tools and fixtures and applying machining knowledge to specialized field equipment.

Requirements

Ability to keep tight tolerances.
High School or Equivalent.
4 years of Machining experience (Required).
Driver's License Required.

Willingness to travel: 25% (Preferred).

Responsibilities

Accurately operate manual drill presses, lathes, milling machines, boring machines, and precision grinding machines.
Single-point cut threads on a manually operated lathe.
Machine parts without a blueprint (Reverse Engineering).
Work on various metals, including stainless, chrome moly, brass, bronze, carbon steel, titanium, Stellite, cast steel, and aluminum, and different alloys.
Work flexible hours, weekends, evenings, and overtime when necessary.
Make tools and fixtures as needed for special set-ups.
Apply machining knowledge to specialized field machining equipment.
