About The Position

Lexus Gwinnett, part of Group 1 Automotive, is seeking a Shop Custodian/Service Porter to support dealership operations. The role includes assisting technicians with vehicles, keeping dealership spaces clean and maintained, and transporting customers and vehicles. The position requires a valid driver’s license and a good driving record, the ability to follow instructions, and the ability to lift 40 pounds. Employees must not use handheld devices while driving and must successfully complete required pre-employment checks and testing.

Requirements

• Must be available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an hour lunch break, and rotating Saturdays.
• Ability to read and follow instructions.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Refrain from using handheld devices, including cell phones and texting, while driving in connection with job duties.
• Pass pre-employment background checks, motor vehicle record checks, and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians in pulling cars in at night.
• Clean the shop and parking lot as needed.
• Transport customers home and pick them up when requested.
• Transport vehicles to and from vendors.
• Perform general maintenance inside and outside the dealership.
• Perform general cleaning inside and outside the dealership.
• Throw away trash and tires.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
