About The Position
TrailersPlus is seeking a Shop Assistant for its Des Moines store. The role involves inspecting, servicing, and repairing trailers; installing parts and accessories; processing shipments; and maintaining the facility and grounds. The position offers a team-oriented, fast-paced work environment described as having a family atmosphere, an open-door leadership policy, and opportunities for growth. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for 40 hours each week. Pay is $18–$19 per hour.
Requirements
- Forklift certification is required; company-paid training is provided.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
- Ability to remain on your feet for long periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Professionalism, teamwork, and a service-based mindset focused on customer satisfaction.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with basic tools used for trailer repair is preferred.
