Shipside Operations Specialist (Associate or Mid-Level)
About The Position
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Shipside Operations Specialist - Manufacturing Representative to join our dynamic team in Huntsville, AL. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate or Mid-Level Shipside Operations Specialist - Manufacturing Representatives. We’re looking for skilled professionals who are passionate about precision and innovation to help produce Boeing’s Patriot Advanced Capability Seeker team — an integral part of the world’s most advanced air defense system. Recently, the PAC-3 team was honored as the 2025 “Coolest Thing Made in Alabama:” in the statewide Manufacturing Madness competition.
Requirements
- 1+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or operations environment
- 1+ years’ experience collecting and analyzing data and generating metrics reports
- Experience working with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and SharePoint
- Able to work any shift based on the needs of the operation
- Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
- Requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Nice To Haves
- Level 3: 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems common image (MESci)
- Experience working with staff at all levels, comfortable with conducting presentations and running meetings
- Experience in the Aerospace & Defense Industry and/or the military
- Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
- Experience using Shipside Action Tracker (SAT)
- An Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance
Responsibilities
- Assists with activities across multiple functions to coordinate resolution of emergent issues in support of specific operations
- Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria
- Provides limited feedback on assessment results
- Supports the teammates in implementation of strategies and plans
- Works under general supervision
