About The Position

The Shipping position performs duties involving unloading, receiving, and shipping while keeping the dock clear of materials. The employee prepares, expedites, dispatches, picks, and loads shipments; makes boxes, skids, and crates to pack products carefully for quality and safe transportation; and braces and secures loads to ensure safe arrival. The position works from shippers, orders, shipping instructions, and regulations, applying judgment within the limitations of general methods and instructions. The listed shift is 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read a tape measure and other measuring devices.
Ability to exercise judgment within the limitations of general methods and instructions.

Responsibilities

Unload and receive materials and keep the shipping dock clear.
Prepare, expedite, dispatch, pick, and load shipments.
Make boxes, skids, and crates to pack products for quality and safe transportation.
Perform loading operations and brace and secure loads to ensure safe arrival.
Work from shippers, orders, shipping instructions, and regulations.
