About The Position
Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures incoming and outgoing items to verify details against bills of lading and invoices. The position handles incoming and outgoing materials for BCR and BCC, including operating supplies, raw forgings, machined wheels, finished wheels, and incoming scrap. Materials are physically received, verified, and entered into Oracle. The role spends most of its time on the production floor and includes some clerical responsibilities. There are no supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements
- High school-level reading and math skills.
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Shipping & Receiving position.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
- Control incoming and outgoing material for BCR and BCC on a daily basis, including operating supplies, raw forgings, machined wheels, finished wheels, and incoming scrap.
- Physically receive and verify items, then enter them into Oracle.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing wheels, verify them against bills of lading, and enter information into Oracle.
- Confirm and report daily inventory.
- Receive other items that need to go to the tool crib.
- Ensure the shipping dock is organized.
- Perform 5S activities.
- Support production activities.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
