About The Position
The Shipping position verifies, records, and prepares incoming and outgoing shipments. The role compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items to verify them against bills of lading and invoices. It controls daily incoming and outgoing materials for BCR and BCC, including operating supplies, raw forgings, machined wheels, finished wheels, and incoming scrap. Items are physically received, verified, and entered into Oracle. The position also supports production activities and performs other tasks as needed. Most work is performed on the production floor, with some clerical responsibilities. The role involves frequent work in a non-climate-controlled production environment and in noisy areas.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- High school-level reading and math skills.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of experience in a shipping and receiving position.
- At least 1 year of experience working with Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
- Control daily incoming and outgoing materials for BCR and BCC, including operating supplies, raw forgings, machined wheels, finished wheels, and incoming scrap.
- Physically receive and verify items, then enter them into Oracle.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing wheels, verify them against bills of lading, and enter information into Oracle.
- Confirm and report daily inventory.
- Receive other items that need to go to the tool crib.
- Ensure the shipping dock is organized.
- Perform 5S activities.
- Support production activities.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
