Shipping/Trailer Spotter - 3rd shift
About The Position
This position is responsible for moving 28-foot and 53-foot trailers on and off of dock doors using a yard tractor (Ottawa). The role requires understanding of third-party carrier equipment. The average number of trailers moved in a 10-hour shift is 85, with a potential to move up to 110 trailers out of 85 dock doors. The job also requires good communication skills, the ability to work safely and collaboratively with others, and to take direction from multiple supervisors. The position may require covering off-shifts for vacations with advance notice and the ability to work in all weather conditions. There is also a requirement to be willing to work on the dock if needed.
Requirements
- Must have a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work safely.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to take direction from several Supervisors.
- Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
