About The Position

Lead the daily operation of the Jedburg Fulfillment Center shipping function, following all policies and procedures, while conducting the business of Gerber Childrenswear, LLC efficiently and professionally.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
2+ years related warehouse experience, preferably in shipping.
Must be able to identify problems and resolve in a timely manner; possess a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks and resources appropriately.
Proficient in all MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and internet.
Professional verbal communication skills and customer service orientation.
Analytical ability to summarize data and data entry skills.
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with attention to detail/accuracy.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, diverse environment while managing multiple tasks.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Deposco system is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and support shipping team members throughout the daily operation.
Assign daily work based on shipping priorities, workload, and staffing.
Ensure orders are picked, packed, labeled, and shipped accurately and on time.
Monitor workflow and help the team meet daily productivity goals.
Verify shipping documentation, labels, quantities, and order accuracy.
Coordinate priorities and resolve shipping issues or order discrepancies.
Communicate with supervisors, warehouse teams, and other departments as needed.
Train new team members on shipping procedures, equipment, safety, and quality expectations.
Provide coaching and direction to team members when performance or quality issues arise.
Ensure employees follow all warehouse safety rules and proper material-handling procedures.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping area.
Ensure equipment and workstations are used properly and report damaged or unsafe equipment.
Monitor attendance, breaks, and staffing coverage during the shift.
Assist with shipping and other warehouse duties when additional support is needed.
Identify process problems and recommend improvements to increase safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
Complete required shipping paperwork, reports, and end-of-shift communication.
Communicate unfinished work, priority orders, and important issues to the next shift or supervisor.
Lead by example by demonstrating teamwork, professionalism, accountability, and a positive attitude.
Any other duty assigned by management.
