Ready to take the lead and keep things moving? Join Our Team as the Shipping Team Lead at Empower Manufacturing! Empower Manufacturing is looking for a dependable, hands-on Shipping Team Lead to help oversee the day-to-day activities of our shipping department. This is a working lead position for someone who enjoys staying organized, keeping the team on track, and making sure customer orders are packaged accurately and shipped on time. We’re a privately owned manufacturing company that values teamwork, accountability, and a practical, down-to-earth work environment. If you have shipping experience, strong attention to detail, and are comfortable providing direction while working alongside the team, we’d like to hear from you.
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of hand tools used for box building and shipping.
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to calculate basic to intermediate math.
- Ability to learn basic blueprint reading.
- Qualifications required for Shipping.
Responsibilities
- Manage shipping schedule for team members; Partner with Plant Manager in determining work schedules.
- Assist employees with questions and problem solving; Act as a liaison for interdepartmental support.
- Identify issues in efficiencies and suggest improvements.
- Participate in the hiring process.
- Manage the training of new hires and cross-training of current employees.
- Communicate employee issues requiring corrective action to Plant Manager.
- Responsible for on-time deliveries.
- Enforce all safety and PPE rules.
- Motivate employees to enhance shipping quantity and maintain high shipping standards.
- Embody and promote the company’s core values.
- Attend team lead meetings.
- As a working Team Lead, you will be responsible for all functions of the Shipping job description.
- Other duties as assigned.
