About The Position

Dematic is hiring a Shipping Supervisor for its Memphis, Tennessee facility. The role supervises shipping operations and warehouse employees, ensures customer and shipping requirements are met, and supports training, safety, facility cleanliness, inventory accuracy, and equipment and supply monitoring. The position is for second shift and may require overtime as needed. The estimated base pay range is $65,000–$140,000. Final compensation depends on factors including work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills. Requirements

5–8 years of experience working in a warehouse environment.
Demonstrated ability to manage a team of warehouse, shipping, or receiving employees.
High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
Ability to complete detailed oral and written instructions.
Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, and Excel.

Nice To Haves

College degree preferred.
SAP experience preferred.
Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct daily meetings as necessary to communicate goals and assignments.
Supervise rush and must-ship orders and ensure shipping guidelines are met.
Resolve discrepancies or potential issues in a timely manner.
Provide training and implement safety measures in accordance with company standards.
Follow outbound shipping requirements for customers and prevent delays.
Communicate crating needs by order or item and ensure guidelines are followed.
Establish and maintain facility cleaning guidelines and monitor them daily.
Assist with discrepancy and disciplinary actions as necessary.
Monitor facility equipment and supplies and report non-compliance issues.
Maintain product stock within the facility, ensuring it is safely and accurately located.
Work necessary overtime as needed.
Take on other duties as assigned or required.
