About The Position

Responsible for managing and supporting the shipping office, forklift drivers, truck drivers, and warehouse personnel. Shipping products to customers and outside warehouse locations as needed. Inventory management and expediting schedules and shipments.

Requirements

Must be a certified forklift driver.
Must be able to lift 40lbs.

Responsibilities

Schedule Truck Drivers’ runs in the most cost-efficient and time-saving manner possible.
Receive goods and materials in an efficient and well-coordinated manner.
Lead Forklift Operators in the daily routine of loading trucks neatly and to the customer’s complete satisfaction.
Assist the Production Manager and all personnel in meeting customer requirements.
Coordinate repairs of trucks, trailers, forklifts, dock plates, and dock doors.
Coordinate with Customer Service the on-time delivery of customer orders.
Keep the management team informed of problems or situations that may affect the performance of the shipping team.
Adheres to daily production schedule.
Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality, delivery and service goals.
Establish high morale within a team by showing fairness and consistency.
Maintain confidentiality.
Develop strong rapport with various freight lines.
Comply with company policies and procedures.
Directly supervises forklift drivers, warehouse leader and truck drivers.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws.
Includes training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; conflict resolution; team building; coaching and leading employees to improve; addressing complaints and resolving problems; documentation; and setting an example of superior behavior, attitude, and performance.
