About The Position

The Shipping Specialist I supports the preparation and confirmation of inbound and outbound logistics, including raw materials, direct materials, MRO, and ATF/NFA-controlled products. The role maintains detailed documentation, interacts with carriers, and helps ensure inventory accuracy within the department. This is a full-time weekend-shift position, Friday through Sunday, 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The position is hourly and non-exempt.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. citizen due to ITAR regulations.
Efficient with computers and programs including Excel and Word.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Able to lift 50 pounds on occasion.
Able to stand, walk, sit, and bend constantly throughout the workday.
Able to work in a manufacturing environment, including in and around moving parts, chemicals, and lights/lasers.
Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Must be capable of operating a forklift.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of relevant experience in manufacturing, logistics, or distribution (preferred).

Responsibilities

Ensure order accuracy and proper physical packaging and physical or electronic documentation for all inbound and outbound shipments, including correct quantities and addresses.
Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
Document and handle Outside Process (Toll) components.
Use shipping system software and the ERP system to complete shipping and receiving tasks.
Communicate effectively with peers, leaders, and support functions.
Collaborate with other departments on shipping and receiving needs.
Complete cycle-count activities and help resolve MRP inventory accuracy issues.
Apply critical thinking to solve problems efficiently.
Multitask consistently and efficiently across shipping systems.
Answer the phone and monitor the gate as needed.
Perform other duties as needed.
