About The Position

The 1st Shift Shipping Rover is responsible for preparing and packaging parts according to customer, contract, carrier, and in-house specifications. This role involves accurately identifying and packaging completed parts, managing paperwork, inspecting shipments for accuracy, marking parts, and coordinating with other departments to ensure on-time shipment. The position also requires scanning job orders into the computer and utilizing customer portals for shipping.

Requirements

Ability to mark parts.
Strong communication skills to work with various departments, especially scheduling.

Experience working in customer portals for shipping.
Ability to examine contents and compare with records for accuracy.
Familiarity with customer specifications for parts.

Responsibilities

Prepare and perform packaging as required by customer, contract, carrier and in-house specifications.
Identify and package completed parts, per customer specifications.
File paperwork in appropriate places.
Inspect and check all paperwork for accuracy prior to shipping any parts.
Mark all parts prior to final inspection.
Work with various departments, especially scheduling, to communicate schedule requirements for on-time shipment.
Coordinate with packagers.
Accurately scan job orders into the computer.
Work in customer portals to ship items as required by contract and customer requirements.
Examine contents and compare with records, such as invoices, to verify accuracy of outgoing shipments.
Identify and mark completed parts per customer specifications.
