About The Position

This role is responsible for receiving and unloading incoming materials, verifying shipment accuracy against purchase orders, and processing return shipments. The position involves sorting, counting, packaging, labeling, insuring, unpacking, and logging inventory. Additionally, the role requires inspecting shipments for damages or defects, recording discrepancies, and notifying supervisors. The job may involve operating a dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift for loading and unloading. Adherence to departmental policies, quality improvement objectives, and safety standards is expected. Miscellaneous job-related duties will also be assigned.

Requirements

• 6 months shipping/receiving experience in a production environment

Responsibilities

• Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment.
• Processes return shipments from customers.
• Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insures, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received.
• Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
• May operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment.
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
