About The Position

Charter Manufacturing is a fourth-generation family-owned business seeking a 2nd Shift Shipping/Receiving associate. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient flow of materials in and out of our facility. You will be responsible for preparing, assembling, and packing outgoing orders, as well as receiving and verifying incoming materials. Maintaining inventory accuracy, operating material handling equipment, and adhering to safety and quality procedures are key aspects of this position. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Forklift experience
• Ability to self-direct and manage workload
• Strong communication and basic computer skills
• Ability to follow instructions and solve basic problems
• Basic math, reading, and shop math understanding
• Ability to work flexible hours (including holidays and weekends)
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, with or without accommodation

Nice To Haves

• 1+ year of shipping/receiving or warehouse experience
• Experience using barcode scanning systems
• Familiarity with online freight scheduling systems
• Ability to properly load and secure shipments for transit
• Previous machine operation or material handling experience

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble, verify, and pack outgoing orders
• Load trucks and complete all required shipping paperwork
• Receive incoming materials and verify them against purchase orders
• Maintain inventory accuracy and proper material storage
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials
• Follow stock rotation procedures and maintain organized warehouse spaces
• Accurately enter data and transactions in the system
• Follow all Environmental, Quality, and Safety procedures
• Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
