Requirements

Minimum of a high school education or G.E.D. and one year of factory-related experience in shipping and receiving.
Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.
A valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State to conform to U.S. Government aerospace and defense technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Responsibilities

Complete receipt verification for purchasing and customer supplied materials.
Unpack, examine, and route incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shippers to rectify damages and shortages. Receive and process all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.
Coordinate proper storage of materials.
Arrange appropriate packaging for shipping.
Administer computerized Inventory System.
Generate shipping documentation.
Make arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase order.
Monitor freezer temperatures, conducting testing as needed.
Send material receipt notifications to customers.
Update supplier performance records.
Operate forklifts and hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper areas.
Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
Perform any other function or responsibility as assigned.
