About The Position
This role is responsible for performing various material handling duties with powered material handling equipment. This must be accomplished through verbal and written orders, and in a safe manner.
Requirements
- Ability to perform all essential job functions as described for a Production Associate.
- Ability to operate powered industrial lift truck in a safe manner at all times.
- Ability to move materials to avoid personal injury, or damage to equipment, material product, or the facility.
- Ability to move material to designated areas.
- Ability to unload and stack material.
- Ability to supply workers with material as required.
- Ability to load and unload shipping trucks.
- Ability to interpret labels to ensure proper disposition of materials.
- Ability to weigh material or products and record on tags or labels.
- Ability to refuel propane gas as needed.
- Ability to train new or less experienced employees on the job.
- Ability to maintain proper records of the work performed.
- Ability to perform maintenance checks to make sure the Hi-Lo is in proper working condition.
- Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, processes, and quality systems.
- Ability to report any safety or mechanical problems with the Hi-Lo to a supervisor.
- Ability to fill out daily Hi-Lo maintenance check off list and a weekly scrap audit.
- Ability to perform other essential job functions as assigned.
- Responsible for continuous improvement in the shipping and receiving area as well as material processes.
