About The Position

The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of the warehouse operations. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and smooth flow of goods in and out of the warehouse. The Team Lead will lead a team of warehouse associates and work closely with other departments to meet production goals and maintain inventory accuracy.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
Proven experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2-4 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and other departments.
Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehousing.
Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address operational challenges.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, support, and coaching as needed.
Schedule and assign tasks to team members, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
Foster a positive and safe working environment, promoting teamwork and cooperation.
Oversee the receiving, sorting, storing, and shipping of products or materials.
Ensure that all incoming and outgoing shipments are accurately recorded, inspected, and documented.
Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the inventory control team to maintain accurate stock records.
Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee that products meet established standards.
Conduct regular inspections of products and warehouse facilities to identify and resolve any quality or safety issues.
Continuously assess warehouse processes and identify opportunities for improvement in productivity and efficiency.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize workflow and reduce operational costs.
Ensure all warehouse activities comply with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Conduct regular safety training sessions for warehouse associates and enforce safe work practices.
Generate and maintain reports related to warehouse activities, such as inventory levels, order fulfillment, and productivity metrics.
Provide regular updates to management regarding warehouse performance and any challenges or concerns.
Train new hires on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of the warehouse team.
