About The Position

The role of the Shipping and Receiving Lead is to oversee shipping and receiving operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a leader
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team
  • Physical ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 pounds and to stand/walk for 6+ hours each day
  • Proficient ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized and prioritizing workload throughout the day
  • Has a friendly and professional manner under periods of high demands
  • Valid State Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work, preferred college degree
  • Ability to skillfully operate powered material handling equipment, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Organizing warehouse team members in a manner to optimize pick-ups, deliveries and orders.
  • Manages and controls the physical condition of the warehouse and delivery equipment, facilities, grounds, etc.
  • Move inventory and materials across facilities. Remove inventory from trucks or shipping and deliver to proper location on Resort property.
  • Research inventory discrepancies utilizing shipping documents.
  • Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and productivity.
  • Work in conjunction with resort departments to prioritize warehouse tasks and share resources.
  • Ensure that all products are properly received and put away in their proper location for inventory management and order fulfillment.
  • Ensure On Property Requisition Center inventory is received, organized, and accounted for.
  • Fulfillment of On Property Requisition Center orders.
  • Complete town run when needed.
  • Operate heavy machinery like forklifts to move or store inventory.
  • Operate trailer by loading, unloading, and striping a load down.
  • Manage operational and administrative functions to ensure information is delivered efficiently.
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of Resort information and amenities.
  • Keep the Purchasing Manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so that prompt and corrective action can be taken when appropriate.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight of Warehouse team members; actively promote, train, coach, and recognize performance.
  • Complete all Warehouse projects as assigned.
  • Communicate and maintain timelines and priorities.
  • Maintain flexible hours to accommodate guest and special event needs, due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry; Position requires full availability including evenings, weekends, holidays or as needed.
