Shipping/Receiving Team Member
About The Position
Under the direct supervision of the Shipping Area Manager, this position is responsible for inventory accuracy by counting finished goods, work in process, raw materials, and purchased parts on a cycle schedule. The role involves verifying quantities against computer systems, adjusting records based on documented evidence, and investigating all discrepancies. The team member will coordinate the cycle counting of all production inventory regularly, recommend adjustments to Bills of Materials, unload and move purchased parts trucks, and ensure the use of the color-coded FIFO system. This role also serves as a backup for daily production reporting and performs additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma and/or a GED equivalent
- Good math skills
- Ability to drive forklift
- Computer skills
- Good attendance
- Adherence to all safety guidelines
Responsibilities
- Inventory accuracy by counting finished goods, work in process, raw materials, purchased parts on a cycle schedule.
- Verifying quantities against computer systems on hand.
- Adjusting records on systems where needed predicated upon documented evidence.
- Investigating all discrepancies for known and unknown reasons.
- Coordinating the cycle counting of all production inventory on a regular basis.
- Recommending adjustments to Bills of Materials as needed.
- Unloading and moving purchased parts trucks.
- Ensuring use of color coded FIFO system.
- Serving as a back-up for daily production reporting entering function.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
