About The Position

Crafco, Inc. has an opening for a Shipping Receiving Supervisor at our manufacturing facility in Halls, TN. The Shipping Receiving Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient handling, staging, and shipping of finished goods. This position is responsible for coordinating product availability with the production and supply chain teams, preparing shipments in accordance with sales orders, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The Receiving Specialist also serves as a backup to the Receiving Department and supports general logistics operations.

Requirements

  • Three years of experience in logistics and receiving operations

  • Thorough in checking packing slips for correct parts and quantities
  • Receiving experience
  • Adept at receiving and processing shipments from UPS
  • Experienced in receiving shipments from FedEx
  • Knowledgeable in handling international shipments
  • High School Diploma.
  • 3 years of forklift operation experience; authorized forklift driver with hands-on experience in various warehouse settings
  • Ability to interpret shipping documentation and packaging requirements.
  • Computer skills – Proficiency with inventory systems and standard shipping software.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Cleanliness, organization of work area and equipment.
  • Accuracy and timeliness of paperwork, reports, files, forms and proper routing.
  • Finished goods maintained in undamaged, saleable condition.
  • Demonstrated performance of assigned duties safe, professional manner, cooperative attitude and positive interfacing with other departments.
  • The loading, unloading and storage of materials should be done in a safe, appropriate manner.
  • Timeliness of moving finished goods to the yard and its organization.
  • Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and flexible with schedule.
  • Conformance with company safety, operational, and personnel procedures and policies.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US and have a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in logistics and/or shipping operations preferred
  • Proficiency in SAP, or other ERP systems, for inventory and order management, is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for arranging appropriate products for shipping of Crafco products as outlined in the sales order and efficient loading to minimize delays and overtime.
  • Shall coordinate activities with the sealants productions department to ensure availability of products with the scheduling of carriers.
  • Interface with the shipping supervisor on the maintaining of an approved carrier base, special equipment needs equipment requirements both departmental and contract carries.
  • Shall maintain an orderly, clean and safe work area and equipment, ensuring the proper storage and handling of products and materials assigned to the area.
  • Ensure proper handling, routing, accuracy of all approved paperwork, forms, files and reports. All paperwork to be completed and handled in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for filling out Bill of Lading, or UPS paperwork and routing information to appropriate areas, accuracy, complete and in the time frame as required.
  • All finished goods assigned to the shipping department shall be kept in an orderly fashion, and any damaged materials will be promptly repaired. Accurate inventory counts shall be maintained. Will work closely with the production department to correct discrepancies found according to company packaging standards.
  • Shall stage orders verifying the type of material or product, correct weights or quantities and correct shipping destination.
  • Shall perform assigned duties in a safe professional manner, interfacing with other departments regarding items which will affect quality, shipping of products, shortages, changes in orders.
  • Responsible to load, unload and store materials in a safe manner as instructed by supervisor.
  • Shall move finished goods from the Quality Control area to the yard in a safe, timely, organized manner.
  • Responsible for keeping the forklift clean, free of debris under machine and around moving parts and shall perform a daily inspection to ensure safe operation of the forklift.
  • Accurately receive and process incoming shipments, including those from UPS.
  • Verify packing slips for correct part numbers and quantities with attention to detail.
  • Apply established procedures for receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming goods.
