About The Position

This is a temporary contract position, with the possibility of becoming a temp-to-hire role for the right candidate. Successful applicants will be directed to a temporary staffing agency of our choosing to complete the application process. Under general supervision, performs daily warehouse tasks including shipping products domestically and internationally to ensure quality, on-time deliveries. Receives, stores, and issues equipment, materials, or tools, and compiles records in the stockroom or warehouse.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED and 2-5 years of directly related warehouse experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Prior shipping experience required; international shipping is a plus.
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite required (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Prior ERP experience preferred (IFS a plus).
Forklift certified preferred.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to spend extended periods on your feet and work in an environment that is not climate controlled.
Must possess "U.S. Person" status for access to ITAR-Controlled Technical Data.

Responsibilities

Packages products in an efficient and orderly manner in accordance with all shipping procedures, packing slips, order acknowledgements, and customer requirements to meet delivery schedule and maintain product quality.
Accurately completes all necessary documentation in accordance with established procedures for both domestic and international shipments.
Coordinates with transportation companies to ship products and ensures on-time delivery.
Enters shipping information into carrier automated system to produce shipping labels and tracking information.
Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices and examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.
Accepts items into stock or releases items out of stock and records transactions using an ERP system.
Marks stock items using identification tags, stamps, or other labeling equipment.
Performs kit pulls and/or fills orders or issues supplies from stock.
Cuts stock to size to fill order.
May move, transport or distribute stock or supplies to other departments and/or among production workers.
Tracks and verifies accuracy of inventory, counts and location, by physically counting and identifying inventory within specific locations.
Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.
Participates in periodic cycle counts and/or physical inventories and maintains inventory records.
Cleans and maintains supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and good housekeeping practices.
Examines and inspects stock items for wear or defects, keeps records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment, reporting any damage to supervisors.
Operates forklift and other lift equipment.
Aids other stockroom or warehouse team members as needed and participates in cross training efforts.
May support assembly operations as needed.
