About The Position

The Shipping and Receiving Specialist coordinates incoming and outgoing shipments, prepares shipping documentation, verifies materials, maintains inventory accuracy, and keeps shipping, receiving, and warehouse areas organized. The role requires familiarity with FedEx, UPS, LTL, and hotshot carriers and includes loading and unloading trucks and moving materials in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. The position pays $22–$25 per hour, based on experience, with overtime available at premium pay.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of shipping and receiving experience.
• Familiarity with FedEx, UPS, LTL, and hotshot carriers.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification within 90 days.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, adaptable, and team-oriented.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly stand, walk, bend, and reach.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, label, and process outgoing shipments.
• Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming materials.
• Verify shipment contents, serial numbers, and packing lists.
• Coordinate carrier pickups, deliveries, and will-call orders.
• Load and unload trucks and move materials to designated areas.
• Maintain inventory records and update company software.
• Keep shipping, receiving, and warehouse areas clean and organized.
• Build positive working relationships with vendors, carriers, and coworkers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
