About The Position

Acuity Inc. is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Operator to prepare and ship production materials, expedite and dispatch transfers and shipments, and handle related records and system transactions. The role includes safely operating powered industrial truck (PIT) equipment after completing OSHA-approved training, reviewing items for shipment quality, loading outgoing semi-trailers, and maintaining 5S standards in work areas. The operator works independently and as part of a team. Travel requirements are 0%.

Requirements

• High school diploma equivalency or GED.
• Ability to successfully train and learn to operate PIT equipment, including lift trucks.
• Ability to review production items for shipment quality and prepare and load materials for shipment.
• Ability to complete shipping documentation and system transactions.
• Ability to load materials correctly onto outgoing semi-trailers.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials for shipment, confirm counts against production tickets, stretch-wrap materials, and balance pallet loads.
• Expedite and dispatch transfers and shipments.
• Complete OSHA-approved PIT training and safely operate PIT equipment.
• Perform assigned material-handling and forklift duties.
• Accurately maintain complex transaction records and complete shipping documentation and system transactions.
• Review production items for shipment quality and prepare and load materials onto trucks.
• Load materials correctly onto outgoing semi-trailers.
• Maintain 5S standards and area cleanliness.
• Work individually and within a team.
