About The Position

Clorox is seeking a Shipping Receiving Operator to work in the PDC. This role involves transporting raw materials and finished products while adhering to safety rules and procedures, and working at a pace that meets truck loading/unloading requirements. The operator will stock product, support the Warehouse Systems Operator with inventories, loading/unloading, stockpiling, and quality assurance for damaged goods. They will maintain a safe and clean work area, meet department productivity, quality, and cost goals, and participate in safety activities. The role also includes identifying and correcting unsafe conditions, meeting business goals for the Distribution Center, and promoting a positive work environment through teamwork. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Requirements

  • If candidate does not have a Plant Fork Truck Operator license, he/she must train and qualify within two weeks.
  • Must demonstrate satisfactory progress within one (1) month during the training/qualification period.
  • Shall be capable of working overtime and weekends.
  • Must demonstrate qualification in loading/unloading finished products on trucks.
  • Must demonstrate ability to correctly load (without an over, short, and damage) a minimum of 10 trailers per 8 hour shift after 45 days.
  • Must demonstrate ability to correctly move/stage (without damage to product or pallet), in a safe manner, a minimum of 200 pallets per 8 hour shift after 30 days.
  • Must demonstrate ability to correctly unload (without an over, short, or damage) a minimum of 10 trailers per 8 hour shift after 45 days.
  • Must achieve and maintain a loading accuracy rating of 98% consistently after 30 days.
  • Must demonstrate qualification in moving and stockpiling finished products in Distribution Center.
  • Must demonstrate ability to correctly case-pick customer orders, conduct accurate inventories, and verify production on a daily basis after 30 days.
  • Must demonstrate ability to correctly stockpile (without damage to product or pallet), in a safe manner 200-300 pallets per 8 hour shift after 30 days.

Responsibilities

  • Stock piles product in warehouse following established stacking patterns.
  • Provides daily support to the Warehouse Systems Operator (WSO) in the department.
  • Conducting cyclic, monthly, and year-end physical inventories.
  • Loading/unloading, stockpiling, quality assurance for over, short, and damaged product on loads.
  • Keeps work area in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
  • Performs all aspects of work involving productivity, quality, cost requirements for the department.
  • Participates in safety activities such as Safety Field Team and Department team meetings to improve plant safety.
  • Identifies and corrects unsafe behaviors/conditions within work area or plant.
  • Consistently meets or exceeds business goals for the Distribution Center.
  • Ensures maintenance of a productive, harmonious, and positive work environment by promoting teamwork.
  • Shall be capable of working overtime and weekends.
