About The Position

This role is responsible for completing warehousing, inventory control, receiving, shipping, product identification and traceability, and proper material handling and storage tasks with minimal supervision. The position also involves assisting with the Inventory Cycle Count Program and completing tasks for the in-coming materials inspection program. The employee is expected to utilize a continuous improvement program, initiate Engineering Change Requests to improve quality, reduce cycle times, and/or correct nonconformities. Compliance with Hazardous Waste Management requirements and Quality Management System requirements in accordance with ISO9001 is mandatory. The role requires maintaining workplace organization to ensure a safe and suitable work environment and performing other job tasks as requested. Ensuring compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies, and procedures with a goal of zero incidents and injuries is critical. Consistent communication on all activities to appropriate individuals (internal and external) and adherence to all Company policies to eliminate or reduce exposure to liability are also key aspects of the position. Special projects or work assigned by the Supervisor will be undertaken. Additional responsibilities may include assisting in managing the Equipment Maintenance Program, participating in the Plant Safety Program, and aiding other departments as needed. The employee will be required to participate in Small Group Improvement Activity Teams, daily Team Meetings, and Team Exercise sessions, and identify opportunities for improvements to submit in accordance with the Continuous Improvement Program. Requirements

  • High School graduate, or equivalent.
  • Requires knowledge of Shipping, Receiving, Warehousing, Inventory Control, Cycle counting, Packaging, and Logistics; requires attention to detail.
  • Ability to recognize all colors in a normal spectrum.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of applicable operating and documentation procedures and material flow.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products and other data systems.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures.
  • Ability to accept constructive criticism.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, solve problems, and complete tasks independently.
  • Ability to lead, supervise and train others.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with subordinates, members of management, vendors, and other employees.
  • Accurate hand/eye coordination is required.
  • Finger dexterity is required, as well as hand strength, with the ability to grasp, lift, push and pull.
  • Work involves considerable standing, stooping, bending, or sitting for long periods of time.
  • May lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities
