Shipping/Receiving Manager
About The Position
The Shipping & Receiving Manager at IMC Outdoor Living, a Liberty Tire Recycling company, leads all shipping, receiving, inventory, and logistics activities for the facility. The role ensures products are shipped and received safely, accurately, and on time, maintains inventory accuracy, and supports operational excellence. The manager supervises shipping and receiving team members, oversees inventory and logistics records, and works to improve service, safety, quality, and productivity. The position also ensures compliance with transportation regulations and company safety policies.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory management, and logistics operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
- Excellent organization and time management abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Working knowledge of supply chain, transportation, and distribution practice.
- Minimum 2–4 years of logistics, shipping, receiving, or inventory management experience.
Nice To Haves
- Forklift operating experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience leading teams in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.
- Experience working with shipping documentation and inventory systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise shipping and receiving team members.
- Ensure shipments are processed accurately and delivered on time.
- Manage finished goods and component inventory levels.
- Oversee shipping, receiving, transportation documentation, and inventory records.
- Evaluate logistics providers and identify opportunities for service improvements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, and productivity.
- Communicate key developments, challenges, and opportunities to management.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company safety policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
