About The Position

As the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator, you are responsible for coordinating the activities and operations of the warehouse to include logistics, shipping, receiving and customer service as well as supporting the daily activities of the warehouse. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with multiple departments and upper-level management to achieve daily shipping and receiving goals.
  • At least two years of related work experience required.

  • Preferably in the cosmetics or pharmaceutical industry.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate exemplary safety by applying rules in place, wearing all appropriate PPE, asking colleagues to do the same and raising any near miss to help preventing accidents.
  • Be trained on how to read dangerous pictograms on all raw materials, ensure team members are trained too. Know where to store it and how: if any doubt, ask for review with Safety leader.
  • Document all related activities and complete forms and reports.
  • Manage warehouse inventory and maintain database within the ERP system.
  • Assist with cycle counting efforts as per S&OP.
  • Coordinate and schedule the movement of products throughout the warehouse including storage and shipment of finished products.
  • Implement daily production and shipping plan, arranging for excess stock to be stored in warehouse.
  • Confirm availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.
  • Accurately execute the receipt of raw materials in the system, including the process of transfer from boxes to buckets with accurate labeling to avoid mistakes and wrong labeling.
  • Ensure all FG pallets are shipped to the correct location, avoiding any mix. Appropriate forms should be filled to support accuracy of shipment. These should be signed by a second person for double check. In case of discrepancy, warn customer service lead immediately.
  • Work on improving staging of FG pallets before shipping to prevent mix. Ensure ERP transactions match shipment.
  • Contribute to constant 5S, to keep warehouses as tidy as possible and contribute to no accident target.
  • Raise any improvement opportunities where observed.
  • Assist with training of team members.
  • Verify that outgoing deliveries meet company quality standards, and that order slips match and have the appropriate signatures.
  • Keep team members informed about rules, regulations, policies, and objectives.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate work records.
  • Manually handle, repack, or restack pallets of finished product as needed.
  • Operate forklift truck as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
