Shipping & Receiving Coordinator
About The Position
Responsible for the data entry of the Finish Goods and Ramco receiving programs, preparation of shipping documentation, inventory control and reconciliation, and shipping and receiving functions. This role requires direct customer contact with their Transportation, Purchasing and World Support groups as needed. The position also involves assisting shippers/receivers, material handlers, and the shift supervisor, as well as coordinating inbound and outbound shipments with Purchasing and Customer Service. Communication with Customer Service, Scheduling, and/or Plant supervision regarding any issues affecting releases to ship or production activity is crucial. The role also provides assistance outside their immediate area of responsibility during vacations, emergency leaves, and special projects, and supports physical inventories and cycle counts as needed. This position is also responsible for supporting and being involved with WCOM.
Requirements
- Good oral and written communications skills.
- Good math skills.
- Hands-on experience in the use of Forklifts and related material handling equipment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good problem-solving, planning, and decision-making abilities.
- Must be well-organized and accurate.
- Able to work unsupervised.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, distribute, and maintain receiving forms, packing lists, bills of lading, and export documentation.
- Maintain accurate and timely data entry of finish goods inventory programs and Ramco receiving system for all inventory transactions and adjustments.
- Reconcile inventory system to physical inventories.
- Cycle count finish goods, raw materials, and packaging supplies daily, if needed.
- Maintain a neat and clean warehouse that protects all materials from damage or contamination.
- Assist shippers/receivers, material handlers, and shift supervisor as needed.
- Assist in the coordination of inbound and outbound shipments with Purchasing and Customer Service.
- Communicate with Customer Service, Scheduling, and/or Plant supervision any and all problems that may affect releases to ship or production activity.
- Provide assistance outside their immediate area of responsibility during vacations, emergency leaves, special projects, etc.
- Assist in physical inventories and/or cycle counts as needed.
- Support and involvement of WCOM.
