About The Position

Inspects, inventories, and documents incoming and outgoing shipments of merchandise/property. This role involves detailed inspection of shipping documents, reporting discrepancies, performing data entry, and processing property releases. The position also supports sales activities and requires adherence to safety, quality, and procedural standards.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent training/experience
  • 1 year of related experience
  • Computer/typing skills
  • Must possess planning/organizing skills
  • Must be able to work under deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Inspects transporter's shipping documents (bills of lading, Customs forms) and compares with inbound file to ensure correct delivery and identifies overages or shortages on shipping documents prior to acceptance.
  • Reports discrepancies or evidence of hazardous material to the supervisor before transporter is released.
  • Completes discrepant shipment reports for any loss or damage not properly recorded and acknowledged by the transporter on the CF6043 and transporter's bill of lading.
  • Performs data entry for selected information into required data bases.
  • Releases property on receipt of completed bill of sale, disposition order or G.O. release for entry.
  • Submits release documents to Warehouse Supervisor for review and forwarding to clerk for closeout.
  • Supports cyclic sales activities.
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
