About The Position

MicroMetl Corporation is currently the largest independent manufacturer of accessories for commercial heating and cooling equipment. With over 60 years of industry experience and service, we continue to grow throughout the Midwest and Southwest regions. We are looking to add a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to our Longview, TX team. The successful candidate will oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition shipping. Responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipping. Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping and receiving priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Related technical trade training.
• Six months or more of machine operating or other job-related experience/training, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Understand and be comfortable with both the working environment and physical requirements of the role including a non-climate-controlled warehouse, lifting/pushing/pulling objects 25/50+ pounds, and standing on one's feet for a longer period of time.
• Ability to do intermediate math skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous manufacturing machine experience.
• Ability to read basic engineering drawings.
• Previous use of various measuring devices like tape measures and calipers.
