About The Position

Shipping‑Receiving Clerk II associates work under minimal supervision to complete all shipping and receiving tasks. Level II clerks demonstrate an intermediate ability to determine work priorities based on shipping schedules, prepare loads for pickup, and assist in developing new packaging processes and procedures. This role provides functional guidance to lower‑level clerks and ensures material flow supports production, quality, and delivery commitments.

Requirements

  • Intermediate English language skills with the ability to read, interpret, and follow work instructions.
  • Forklift certification (internal).
  • Intermediate knowledge of shipping processes and equipment.
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to read and comprehend shipping documentation.
  • Ability to verify quantities and perform visual inspections for defects or damage.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to perform basic shop math including fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to navigate internal systems to locate process documents.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required due to government military contracts.
  • Less than two moving violations within the past five years.
  • No preventable accidents within the past five years.
  • No felony motor‑vehicle‑related convictions within the past seven years.
  • No DUI/DWI convictions within the past five years.
  • No serious motor vehicle safety violations within the past five years.

Nice To Haves

  • 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, prior military experience, or a technical certification/degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain job assignments from supervisor or manager.
  • Work safely under functional safety guidelines including PPE and equipment interaction.
  • Adhere to quality processes including in‑process inspection to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Correctly interpret work orders and verify shipping and receiving documentation.
  • Work effectively in a team environment and assist lower‑level personnel as needed.
  • Prepare materials for inspection and shipment.
  • Perform intermediate‑level system transactions.
  • Perform packaging tasks including kitting, labeling, and visual inspection.
  • Create and process shipping documentation.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Perform daily housekeeping and 6S activities.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections when operating company vehicles.
  • Read shipping documentation and verify load accuracy.
  • Operate forklifts and other shipping/receiving equipment.
  • Safely load and unload material onto trucks.
  • Perform visual inspections to verify no defects or damage.
  • Establish delivery routes to meet delivery objectives.
  • Make occasional deliveries outside the local area.
  • Observe all safety policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to the Business Quality Management System (BQMS).
  • Determine work priorities for lower‑level clerks.
  • Prepare loads for pickup based on shipment schedules.
  • Process intermediate‑level shipping and receiving documentation.
  • Assist in developing and improving packaging processes.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
