About The Position

Under moderate supervision, this role verifies and keeps records on outgoing material. The position performs tasks to ship, pick, store, load, and pack materials as needed. Key responsibilities include picking and verifying parts orders, packing materials for shipment, operating material handling equipment, preparing necessary paperwork, maintaining good working relationships with internal departments and external suppliers, and performing cycle counts.

Requirements

• A thorough knowledge of material handling is required.
• Some previous forklift operation is required.
• Must be able to pass a basic math test.

Nice To Haves

• More experience in the operation of forklifts, pallet trucks and electric hoists are preferred.
• Skills may be gained through on-the-job training and/or specialized training.

Responsibilities

• Picks material for parts orders.
• Verifies identification of part and quantity required.
• Packs material for safe shipment to customers.
• Operates forklifts, hydraulic hand pallet trucks, and electric hoists to load and unload materials as needed.
• Prepares all necessary paperwork and documentation for the processing of work orders and the shipment of parts orders.
• Develops and maintains a good working relationship with all internal departments and with all outside suppliers and service providers.
• Cycle counts inventory as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
