About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support the department by managing incoming and outgoing materials, parts, and finished goods. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate material handling, packaging, shipping documentation, and compliance with customer, quality, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing or regulated production environment and understands the importance of accuracy, traceability, and on-time delivery in aerospace and defense operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with shipping platforms and ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read shipping documents, packing slips, and work instructions accurately.
  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to lift, move, and transport materials safely.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Person status due to ITAR requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing industries.
  • 2+ years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems
  • Familiarity with ITAR/export compliance
  • Familiarity with Hazardous material shipping procedures
  • Experience with barcode scanners and shipping systems.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, parts, and shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments in accordance with customer specifications and carrier requirements.
  • Process domestic and international shipments using shipping software and ERP systems.
  • Coordinate with production, purchasing, quality, and warehouse teams to support material flow and shipment schedules.
  • Label, store, and organize incoming and outgoing materials appropriately.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace, defense, and customer shipping requirements including ITAR and export control regulations.
  • Support cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.
  • Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and communicate issues promptly.
  • Maintain shipping and receiving areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Support documentation retention and quality system requirements.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to shipping and material handling processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
