About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring production pallets meet standards, managing shipments within the Netsuite system, and overseeing the safe and efficient loading/unloading of trucks. The associate will inspect incoming and outgoing shipments, maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness, and ensure proper handling and storage of goods. This position also involves operating forklifts, assisting production during downtime, and adhering to all food safety and certification standards. Reporting potential safety issues and participating in staff meetings are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

Able to lift (up to) 50 lbs on a consistent basis
Current forklift certification required
Able to work on feet for 8 or more hours
Able to change tasks quickly and work under pressure
Strong management, leadership, and delegation skills
Ensure proper training and direction of support staff
Strong analytical and reasoning abilities
Participative management style – promotes team concept and helps other departments when needed

Responsibilities

Make sure production pallets meet our standards; restack or replace bags/boxes if needed.
Work within the Netsuite system to create and execute shipments and shipment paperwork (packing lists and BOLs)
Ensure trucks are loaded and unloaded in a timely, safe, and clean manner
Inspect all incoming and outgoing shipments for quality and accuracy
Ensure organization, cleanliness, and proper labeling in all areas of the warehouse including the loading dock area
Ensure appropriate paperwork, authorizations (signatures), and checklists accompany all incoming and outgoing shipments
Ensure proper handling and storage of all incoming shipments
Loading/unloading trucks using forklifts or manual pallet jacks
Maintaining forklift cleanliness and watered
Assist production with processing finished goods during receiving downtime
Complying with all certification and food safety standards
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in all areas of the warehouse
Complying with all certifications, regulatory requirements, and food safety standards
Report to management any potential food safety issues and non-conforming products
Report to management/supervisor of any unsafe conditions or acts that affect health and physical safety.
Attend staff admin meetings and relay important information
Other duties as assigned
