About The Position
Airline Component Parts (ACP) is an FAA-certified 145 Repair Station in operation since 1994, specializing in customized repair solutions for high-value aerospace parts. We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate to support the repair of commercial and military aircraft components. This role differs from a typical warehouse position as it involves handling technical aerospace parts with specific shipping and handling requirements, often necessitating adherence to drawings, specifications, or FAA documentation. The associate will utilize our database system, requiring computer savviness to learn our systems, locate parts, perform counts, weigh and measure items, and understand critical shipping and receiving documentation. The ability to read specifications and execute correct packaging is essential. This position is computer-intensive and will be tested.
Requirements
- Small team environment so candidate must be reliable, punctual, and present when scheduled.
- At least one year of applicable work experience.
- Excellent attention to detail, be a quick learner, and always willing to help out when needed!
- Good time management skills and able to meet deadlines or target dates and times.
- Efficient, aware of what’s happening around you, curious on what we do, why and how.
- Works well on your own or as a team.
- Excellent Computer Skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, shipping software like UPS, FedEx.
- Able to lift up to 40lbs without difficulty.
- May operate hand truck to move, shipments to receiving, storage or work area (not more than 40lbs.)
Nice To Haves
- Any previous experience with inventory management software is a plus!
- Some college is preferred.
- Software experience with manufacturing ERP, Excel, SharePoint, UPS, and FedEx shipping software is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading technical goods and supplies ensuring proper handling of the same
- Verifies incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment
- Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipment to verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
- Identify incoming products by department, differentiates between multiple receipt methods
- Records receipt of materials in the software system
- Pick and pack materials, understanding importance of clean and quality pack methods
- Filing and copying
- Routes items to the correct departments
- Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
- Manage material inventories through cycle counts and physical inventories
- Ensures and maintains the proper inventory of shipping materials and supplies
- May operate hand truck to move, convey or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area (not more than 40lbs)
- Perform light facility maintenance tasks such as cleaning and organizing work areas.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining the overall cleanliness and orderliness of the facility.
- Support in the setup and arrangement of equipment and materials in the facility.
- Any other duties as assigned.
