About The Position

This role is responsible for the efficient handling and accurate record-keeping of all incoming and outgoing shipments within the warehouse operation. The primary function involves managing both domestic and international shipments, unloading incoming freight, processing purchase orders, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of all goods handled.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 3 – 5 years related experience
  • Knowledge of carriers, shipping methods and handling procedures
  • Good organizational skills
  • Good communication skills – verbal, written and interpersonal
  • Computer familiarity required
  • Good math skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to use various types of material handling equipment
  • Ability to communicate with carriers, customers, and customer service to resolve problems.
  • Ability to utilize time efficiently to handle the large amount of daily shipments, consolidations, and all other daily activity that require specific timelines based on the different freight carriers and their pickup schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Processing outgoing domestic shipments through UPS, FEDEX, and manual BOL for various freight carriers, including weekly consolidation shipments to distributors.
  • Processing outgoing international export shipments using various international export carriers, completing export commercial invoices, and ensuring accuracy of export paperwork.
  • Unloading incoming bi-weekly containers from Hong Kong and domestic supplier shipments.
  • Processing incoming purchase orders for warehouse supplies and stocking/scanning them into stock locations.
  • Unloading incoming freight, verifying product quality, handling damage and shortages, and filing claims with carriers.
  • Performing other duties as required within the warehouse.
