About The Position

We are actively hiring for the position of Shipping and Receiving Clerk for our plant in Wallingford, CT. This role involves ensuring all customer merchandise is shipped securely and promptly, utilizing computer systems for shipping programs, and performing other miscellaneous warehouse duties. The shift is 1st Shift, Monday to Friday, from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year of experience in a Shipping or Receiving position
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to stand for long periods (8 hours)
• Detail-oriented with a high standard of quality and a personable team player
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work with minimal supervision or direction
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
• Some computer experience, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a larger group

Responsibilities

• Work well in a team environment to ensure all customer merchandise is shipped securely and promptly
• Must be comfortable using a computer and willing to learn proprietary systems
• Understanding of FedEx, UPS, and USPS shipping programs
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures
• Other miscellaneous warehouse duties, including receiving, organizing, cleaning, etc.
