Position Description Title: Shipping/Receiving Coordinator Department: Shipping & Receiving Reports to: Shipping & Receiving Manager Status: Hourly Non-Exempt Position Purpose: The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of the facility. This includes overseeing incoming shipments, preparing outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring compliance with shipping regulations. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal departments and external partners.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse machinery safely.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and shipping regulations (DOT, IATA) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Inspect deliveries for damage, verify contents against packing lists, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare shipping documentation including labels, bills of lading, and invoices.
  • Communicate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pickups and deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts and reconciliations.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners.
  • Organize warehouse space to optimize storage and minimize product damage.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations regarding shipping and receiving.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal departments and external vendors.
  • Assist with physical inventory counts and reporting
  • Related tasks as requested by supervisor/manager
