About The Position

Under the supervision of the Terminal Manager, this role performs basic inspection and preventive maintenance of department equipment and machinery. Responsibilities include loading bulk and sack trucks, replacement, repair, and preventive maintenance of dust collectors (DC) and bags, operating a forklift and sweeper, and performing cleanout and preventive maintenance of DC piping and ports. The role also involves cleaning, preparing, and inspecting various equipment and areas, performing basic clean-up, and maintaining a clean and safe work area while following all safety procedures. Daily pre-operational inspections on equipment are required, along with documentation. The position operates and performs basic functions with a Front End Loader, Skid Loader, Euclid, Guzzler, and Utility Trucks. Specific maintenance tasks include replacing DC bags, cleaning out and performing preventive maintenance on DC screws, inspecting and replacing brass valves and airlines, disassembling, reassembling, and replacing parts on the access ramp, and performing preventive maintenance on rotary valves, faceplates, air rams, DC dampers, and moister traps. Minor welding, patchwork, relocation of department equipment, and maintenance, repair, and replacement of office and other equipment and systems are also part of the duties.

Requirements

A minimum of 1 Year preventive maintenance experience in manufacturing environment required.
Must have a stable work history.
Must have mechanical ability with experience using hand and power tools.
Must have experience working a forklift.
This position is physically demanding, requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, walking, crouching and climbing ladders.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Perform basic inspection and preventive maintenance of department equipment and machinery.

Replacement, repair and preventive maintenance of dust collectors (DC) and bags.
Operates Forklift and Sweeper.
Performs cleanout and preventive maintenance of DC piping and ports.
Clean, prepare and/or inspect various equipment and/or areas as assigned.
Perform basic clean-up in area using brooms, shovel, wheelbarrow, etc.
Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area and following all safety procedures.
Perform daily pre-operational inspection on equipment and document inspection.
Operates and performs a basic function with Front End Loader, Skid Loader, Euclid, Guzzler, Utility Trucks.
Replaces DC bags.
Cleanout and preventive maintenance of DC screws.
Inspection and replacement of brass valves and airlines.
Disassembly, reassembly, and replacement of parts on the access ramp.
Replacement and preventive maintenance of rotary valves, faceplates, air rams, DC dampers and moister traps.
Minor welding and patchwork and relocation of a variety of department equipment.
Maintenance, repair and replace a variety of office and other equipment and systems.
