About The Position

Ferguson is seeking a Shipping Manager for its Stockton Distribution Center. The position coordinates a team of 10–15 hourly associates on a first-shift schedule from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. The manager oversees day-to-day shipping and fulfillment work, supports team members with guidance and training, and works with other departments to ensure goods are shipped and delivered smoothly. The role also identifies and implements improvements to fulfillment efficiency while adhering to company compliance and health, safety, and environment requirements.

Requirements

2–5 years of management experience in supply chain distribution.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize workload, balance multiple demands, and meet timelines.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of hands-on warehouse experience.
Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Labor Management System (LMS) experience.
Proficiency in OSHA and DOT regulations.
Project management experience, such as LEAN, KAIZEN, or Agile.
Previous experience implementing employee engagement, mentoring, and development initiatives.

Responsibilities

Coordinate day-to-day receipt, preparation, and shipping tasks, ensuring work quality and efficiency.
Coordinate and check fulfillment documentation processes to ensure documentation is correct.
Provide subject matter guidance and training to team members on new or updated fulfillment processes and standards.
Liaise with all departments to support smooth shipping and delivery of goods and serve as a key point of contact for the team.
Analyze information to identify areas for improvement within the fulfillment area and implement measures to improve team efficiency.
Adhere to company compliance and Health Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and requirements.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
