About The Position

Ferguson is seeking a Shipping Manager for its Stockton Distribution Center. The position coordinates a team of 10–15 hourly associates working a first-shift schedule from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. It oversees day-to-day shipping and fulfillment activity, supports team members with guidance and training, coordinates with other departments, and identifies and implements improvements to team efficiency. The role requires adherence to company compliance and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures, as well as regular and reliable attendance.

Requirements

2–5 years of management experience in supply chain distribution.
Proficiency in OSHA and DOT regulations.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize workload, balance multiple demands, and meet timelines.
Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of hands-on warehouse experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

WMS and LMS experience is strongly preferred.
Project management experience, such as LEAN, KAIZEN, or Agile, is desired.
Previous experience implementing employee engagement, mentoring, and development initiatives.

Responsibilities

Coordinate day-to-day receipt, preparation, and shipping tasks, ensuring work quality and efficiency.
Coordinate and check fulfillment documentation processes to ensure documentation is correct.
Provide subject matter guidance and training to team members on new or updated fulfillment processes and standards.
Liaise with all departments to support smooth shipping and delivery of goods and serve as a key point of contact for the team.
Analyze information to identify improvement opportunities within the assigned fulfillment area and implement measures to improve team efficiency.
Adhere to company compliance and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and requirements.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
