McKee Foods is seeking a forklift truck operator to join our Shipping Department team.

Requirements

  • Overall good work record (which includes attendance, safety, job performance, flexibility, and team behaviors)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a cohesive team environment
  • Ability to work with computers (data entry)
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting
  • Capable of reaching work goals with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to promote continuous process improvement and LEAN principles
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Lift Truck Operator license
  • DMV Record must be obtained by the Safety Department
  • Lift Truck vision screen must be completed by Employee Health Services and must meet Lift Truck standards

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and job experience with (WMS) Warehouse Management System
  • Previous lift truck operator experience
  • Previous shipping experience

Responsibilities

  • Replenishing the pick lane locations
  • Maintain accurate information in WMS
  • Communicate effectively with team members and primary customers
  • Load and unload trailers
  • Shrink wrap pallets
  • Load and unload cases onto conveyors when needed to fill distributor orders
  • Operate pallet inverter for Food Service and freezer loads
  • Cross-training in other areas
  • Perform a variety of lift truck assignments to support shipping operation
  • Clean and perform all other duties as assigned
