About The Position

McKee Foods is seeking a forklift truck operator to join our Shipping Department team. This role involves replenishing pick lane locations, maintaining accurate information in the Warehouse Management System (WMS), and communicating effectively with team members and primary customers. Responsibilities include loading and unloading trailers, shrink wrapping pallets, and loading/unloading cases onto conveyors when needed to fill distributor orders. The operator will also use a pallet inverter for Food Service and freezer loads, undergo cross-training in other areas, and perform various lift truck assignments to support the shipping operation. Cleaning and other duties as assigned are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Overall good work record (which includes attendance, safety, job performance, flexibility, and team behaviors)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a cohesive team environment
  • Ability to work with computers (data entry)
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting
  • Capable of reaching work goals with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to promote continuous process improvement and LEAN principles
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Lift Truck Operator license
  • DMV Record must be obtained by the Safety Department
  • Lift Truck vision screen must be completed by Employee Health Services and must meet Lift Truck standards

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and job experience with (WMS) Warehouse Management System
  • Previous lift truck operator experience
  • Previous shipping experience
